Our stay at Medea was really special. The villa was beautiful of course but also clean, well organized and the location could not have been better! It exceeded our expectations by far.

Our family of 8 and three children had a wonderful time here! Firenze is my favorite place in Italia and Apt Medea is a magical place to escape the crowds and find peace! Everything about this place is perfect: the location, the furnishings, the bathrobes, the concierge Ilda’s help and Tigi’s cleaning.

We had a wonderful stay in Florence. The Medea is truly a special place. Really!! The building itself is a piece of artwork. No joke. Such history. It is a former palace from one of Florence’s first mayors. The building is still owned by a variety of family members today. The building was bombed during WW2, but lovingly restored with salvaged materials. We enjoyed learning of the history. The apartment was very well equipped and we enjoyed every inch of it. It was hot and I was so pleased that the AC was so efficient. The communication between us and the property manager Ilda was also very good. She was great. The outside terrace is fantastic! Also, the property manager did a lovely job at stocking the pantry with several items which was very much a surprise and appreciated. She even had the housekeeper daily restock olive oil and coffee as needed.

What to do in Florence City

Florence, a medieval city of timeless artistic beauty is there to be discovered. The beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the Pitti Palace, and Ponte Vecchio are only few of the city’s most famous architectural masterpieces. Check at least one of its museums – we like the Academy of Fine Arts, which houses Michelangelo’s superb David. Stroll the narrow streets of Florence, the cradle of the Reinassance, and marvel at the richness of this real open museum. Enjoy a cappuccino on one of its piazzas, or a colorful gelato to cool off the summer heat. Whatever you do, don’t pinch yourself…you are not dreaming!
