Completely frescoed library/tea room, perfect as a place to relax, unwind and enjoy one of the many art books available on the well-stocked bookshelves of the house. The warm wood antiques, several oil paintings of various periods and the Murano hand blown glass chandelier create an elegant space for formal dining. Two large windows let in plenty of natural light. FlFlorence is truly spectacular. But it is people like Ippolita’s owners that make it special. Their pride of Florence and their hospitality is a treat. The sights and sounds we carry in our minds, the special people we carry in our hearts forever. We look forward to visiting again … and next time we know where we will stay!

May the blessing of the spirit of Florence be on all who stay here. The hosts have been the most gracious, kind and helpful we have ever met during our many international travels. Wonderful recommendations and assistance during our stay in this truly amazing home.

We enjoyed this beautiful home. We had a wonderful stay in Florence. The market was fantastic! We had fresh fish and pasta every day. The time just flew by. We will love to return some day. This is a wonderful location…so easy to walk everywhere.

Apartment Ippolita in Florence was suburb. Highly recommend it. Very nice people. The owner actually walked us around to show us the location of things and when we left he walked us to the train station and helped carry our bags. The apartment was huge and better equipped than any of the others we have stayed in. Washer/dryer and kitchen were perfect. The frescoes and furnishings were terrific. They also had a cleaning lady coming daily including in the rate. Location was very convenient too.

Fabulous, Fantastic, Incredible. These are the words I use to describe our recent visit to Florence, our third trip but definitely not our last.
For years my wife has dreamed of “living” in Florence. So this year we did it. We found an unbelievable villa in downtown Florence, in one of the oldest Piazzas in the city. I’m attaching the brochure for review. You really can’t call this a villa, it’s more of a luxury apartment. 3000 square feet of luxury, with every amenity that one could ask for. This villa was built in the 1400’s, before the US was even discovered. It was re-done in the 1700’s and purchased by the current owner’s family in the 1980’s. It’s pretty incredible to lay in bed at night and look up at beautiful ceilings painted in the mid 1700’s.
The apartment is impeccably maintained, reasonable to rent, and comes with all manner of extras. The extras start with the owner, who doubles as your host and 24/7 concierge. Giovanni is one of the nicest, most accomplished hosts that we have ever had the pleasure to know. This was, without a doubt, the trip of a lifetime.
What to do in Florence City
Florence, a medieval city of timeless artistic beauty is there to be discovered. The beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the Pitti Palace, and Ponte Vecchio are only few of the city’s most famous architectural masterpieces. Check at least one of its museums – we like the Academy of Fine Arts, which houses Michelangelo’s superb David. Stroll the narrow streets of Florence, the cradle of the Reinassance, and marvel at the richness of this real open museum. Enjoy a cappuccino on one of its piazzas, or a colorful gelato to cool off the summer heat. Whatever you do, don’t pinch yourself…you are not dreaming!
