TUSCANY
Villa Aiola is a strikingly beautiful, restored country house that is part of a 1700-acre estate located in the Val d’Orcia region in southern Tuscany. This extraordinary beautiful area of Italy sits between the land south of Siena and the borders of Umbria. Characteristic of Val D’Orcia are the villa’s open, breathtaking views of Mount Amiata, with the unchanged landscape reminiscent of old master paintings. The nearby San Casciano dei Bagni, a beautiful, unspoiled medieval village, is just 10 minutes away by car and a rather well-kept secret south of Siena. This intimate, luxurious haven is ideal for private getaways and family reunions.

A perfect setting for a family reunion – a piece of paradise on earth within Tuscany which in itself is heavenly. We have used the pool extensively to swim and play, to talk and discuss while benefitting from the attentions of the staff, helpful, tireless and discrete, and enjoying two wonderful traditional meals. Thank you very much!

A great home – setting is spectacular and staff very attentive but not at all imposing! Highly recommend the chef! Our three families had a magical week together – we will be back.

We have had a terrific two weeks at Aiola. The staff was wonderful, and the villa was a perfect location for visiting all that Tuscany has to offer – Siena Assisi, the hill towns and even Florence. Thanks again and we hope to be back.

The impressive views of Val d'Orcia, which inspired so many Renaissance painters, is dotted with little villages, castles, abbeys and hamlets, each telling a fascinating ancient story. Time here can still pass slowly and you can enjoy every second of it.
Visit the famous town of Montalcino, best-known for the distinguished Brunello red wine, and the artistic jewel town of Pienza, which was used as a backdrop to Franco Zeffirelli’s masterpiece: “Romeo and Juliet”. The walled hilltop medieval town of Montepulciano, the picturesque Cetona, the charming thermal villages of San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagno Vignoni are also well worth a visit.
To explore Florence on a day trip, the best way is to leave your car at the Chiusi-Chianciano train station and hop on one of the many trains to Florence - Santa Maria Novella Station (they run every hour and in less than two hours you are in Florence’s historical center).
